Terms & Conditions

1. Eligibility

• Open to U.S. students in Grades 6–12.
• Individual entries only (no teams).
• Students under 13 must include parent/guardian contact information in the form.

2. Submission Guidelines

Submit either:

• A PDF slide deck, or
• A video (≤ 2 minutes; YouTube/Google Drive link with public access).

• Students in high school are encouraged to submit both.
• Each student may submit only one entry.
• Projects must be submitted by June 30, 2025 using the official Google Form.
• Late submissions will not be accepted unless granted written approval.

3. Originality & AI Policy

• All work must be the original effort of the student.
• Projects that are primarily generated by AI tools (e.g. ChatGPT, Bard, Canva Magic Write) may be disqualified at the judges' discretion.
• AI research is allowed, but the idea, design, and writing must reflect student thinking.

4. Judging & Awards

All entries will be evaluated by a panel of 3–5 judges using a rubric covering:

• Clarity of Idea
• STEM Relevance (especially AI & Aviation)
• Creativity
• Presentation Effort
• Overall Impact

Middle School and High School entries will be judged in separate pools.

Awards:

1 Winner and 1 Honorable Mention will be selected per level:

• Grades 6–8 (Middle School)
• Grades 9–12 (High School)

Winners receive a digital certificate and optional podcast/website/social media feature.

5. Use of Submissions

By submitting, students grant Skybound Horizons permission to:

• Display their first name, grade, and school (if provided)
• Share submitted materials (PDFs or videos) on the Skybound AI Podcast, website, or social platforms
• Publicize winning or featured entries in press releases or STEM outreach

You retain ownership of your original work.

6. Communication

Emails provided in the form will only be used to:

• Confirm receipt of submission
• Notify winners and honorable mentions
• Share future Skybound Horizons opportunities (if opted in)

You may opt out of future communication at any time by emailing team@skyboundhorizons.org

7. Changes & Contact

Skybound Horizons may update these Terms at any time. The most recent version will always be posted on this page.
